Robert The
Guitar Guy (Robert Markowitz) is a children's educator, singer,
guitarist, songwriter, and recording artist. His latest CD,
DON’T SNEEZE CHOO-CHOO TRAIN won the 2004 iParenting Media Award and
was reviewed favorably by School Library Journal. His first album,
MOVING TO THE BEAT was a CD Baby Children's Pop Editor's Pick. Out of thousands
of children's songs on CDBaby.com, his "Bossanova Boo-boo"
was chosen for CD Baby's 12-song compilation album in 2003. He has performed extensively for the
international children’s retailer Pottery Barn Kids at their stores
in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Rhode
Island. Hot Off The
Griddle magazine called his music "imaginative" and
"hilarious." Robert has
developed a method of musical play with kindergarten and pre-school
children incorporating music, rhythm, movement, humor, role-playing,
and props which makes his classes and performances fun for children
and adults alike. Special information when the children are younger than 3 For a grade
school audience, Robert leads a costumed cast (chosen from the
audience) through an action-packed performance of a musical story
designed to allow the cast to shine, and the audience to laugh.
Each musical story deals with a character education theme. The dynamic of children on stage encourages the children in
the audience to participate. To contact Robert The Guitar Guy call (203) 563-9200 or info@movingtothebeat.net
